February Meetup: KanBan: Thinking outside the TimeBox

Update: The meetup will start at 6pm. From 6:00 – 6:30 will be networking time and the talk will start at 6:30. We usually wrap up by 8pm, unless of course you follow the crowd to the pub 🙂

Norbert Winklareth will be leading the February 9th meetup with a demonstration and talk about KanBan. Norbert has been a part of the Agile community for many years and brings a great deal of practical experience and wisdom to the group.

We are moving to a new location for the remainder of this season. Adobe has graciously offered the use of their auditorium. Adobe is located in the Preston and Carling area. Watch this space for detailed directions.

The synopsis for Norbert’s talk follows:

KanBan is the latest Agile practice to emerge and it has a growing community of practitioners.  This talk will briefly cover:

  • The history of KanBan, including why people are using it
  • What it is
  • How to apply it
  • Why it works
  • What its reported impacts are on organizations
  • Criticisms of it
  • Advanced techniques

The meetup will start with  a demo that will need 9 volunteers from
the audience.
