Behaviour Driven Development led by the QA team

It’s time for our monthly Agile meetup. The topic is about Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) led by the QA team.

Agile development is now the de facto standard for software, However, most Agile processes do not include QA or see it as a secondary process done after development. BDD, also called Specification by Example, has been around almost as long as Agile Development but has not seen much adoption in North America.

Robert McCabe has introduced BDD to several companies with a twist, having the QA team write the scenarios before the dev team starts. This process results in a more comprehensive test framework for the developers to work with, faster development and more robust code.

He will talk about the tools used, the processes that need to change and the roadblocks to making this change.
